Founded by biochemists Henriette Valster and Christian van Munster, both of whom brought extensive experience from the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Tissue Processing industries, HCM Medical was set up with a clear vision. As former colleagues in a Medical Device company, where they were responsible for Operational and Quality operations, they saw an opportunity to create a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) dedicated to the niche market of high-tech medical products. Their goal was to offer comprehensive development and manufacturing services for unique medical products, catering to international companies and various industry sectors.

By 2016, HCM Medical had achieved significant milestones. The company constructed state-of-the-art clean rooms, including an ISO class 5/6 clean room specifically designed for aseptic manufacturing. Furthermore, acquiring a Medical Device manufacturing license marked a pivotal moment, enabling HCM Medical to expand its offerings and cement its position in the medical manufacturing industry.
